About

An artist, designer and maker, Meghann Gilligan-Koehn’s creative practice spans photography, printmaking and sculpture with a focus on cross-pollination across media and an experimental approach to materials and process.

Meghann’s work has been featured in publications including Ph, Diffusion, and SHOTS magazines and has been exhibited in galleries including Newspace Center for Photography, Lightbox, Pony Club, Centrum Gallery and in exhibitions at Washington State University and Pacific Northwest College of Art.

Meghann is energized by collaborative, social justice-centered creative projects including co-directing PNCA’s annual Graduate Symposium, partnering on Community Printmaking events and Social Justice Art Camps with Don’t Shoot PDX, organizing ‘Zine-making workshops with youth, and running the experimental gallery and community project space, Small Axe {@smallaxegallery on Instagram}

Meghann is currently an Assistant Professor in the MFA in Collaborative Design program at PNCA, where she guides students through a two-semester Capstone Project. She also serves as the Assistant Director of the Hallie Ford School of Graduate Studies.

Meghann received a BA in Philosophy and Sociology from Boston College and an MFA from Pacific Northwest College of Art and Oregon College of Art and Craft.
